Following the success of the CANSO Africa Conference 2023, the CANSO Africa Conference 2024 took place in Sal, Cabo Verde, kindly hosted by ASA.

An introduction to our Conference

The CANSO Africa Conference 2024 took place from Tuesday 1 to Friday 4 October and had the theme: Focus on Implementation.

Our programme included the insightful debates, discussions and conversations you expect from a CANSO Africa event. At this year’s Conference, our regional leadership took centre stage as they shared their thoughts and plans on how collaborative implementation will be the focus of the next few years.

The key objectives of the 2024 Conference were to create a platform for our regional leadership to define and drive an implementation path for our key programmes such as the CANSO Standard of Excellence on Safety Management Systems (SMS), GreenATM, and the CATS Global Council Vision 2045.

On Thursday afternoon and Friday morning, we hosted two post-Conference workshops on key topics, selected by our regional Workgroup leadership.

Our conference theme, Focus on Implementation, was designed to focus on recent successes, create specific collaborative approaches to implementation and, with the support of our leadership, secure commitment on delivery.
