CANSO Global Safety Achievement Award nominations announced
The shortlisted candidates for the CANSO Global Safety Achievement Award 2025, have been announced.
They are:
- AEROTHAI – Talents Development Programme in Safety
- FAA – Space Operations Management
- Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department – Deep Convection Notification Service Tool
- HungaroControl – Certium Locate Callsign Confusion Tool
- NAV CANADA – NOTAM Management System Tool
Announcing the shortlist, John Wennes, Safety Programme Manager, CANSO, said: “These initiatives exemplify leadership, creativity, and collaboration in advancing aviation safety across the globe.
“An honourable mention also goes to EUROCONTROL for their work on the Drones Impact on Network Operational Safety (DINOS) Working Group. The efforts of this working group have provided practical guidance and best practices for key stakeholders across numerous organisations to improve the management of unauthorised drone events.
“We extend our sincere thanks to all nominators and nominees for their continued commitment to building a safer and more resilient aviation system.”
The finalists will be invited to present their initiatives to the CANSO Safety Standing Committee – Steering Group on 18 and 19 November, sharing valuable insights and best practices with the global aviation community.
The winner of the CANSO Global Safety Achievement Award 2025 will be announced during the 2026 CANSO Global Safety Conference 2026 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
