Workshop: Enabling Safer Skies in APAC: Introducing Viasat’s Connected Flight Safety Ecosystem

This workshop introduces Viasat’s vision for advancing flight safety and operational efficiency across the Asia-Pacific region through connected aviation technologies.

Bringing together industry perspectives and practical demonstrations, the session will showcase how real-time data, resilient communications, and multi-orbit connectivity can enhance safety-of-flight operations, improve decision making, and support more efficient airspace management. With contributions from global and regional partners, attendees will gain insight into real-world applications and simulations relevant to APAC, alongside lessons learnt from airline and ANSP deployments of Air Traffic Services Baseline 2 and TBO in Europe. The workshop will also provide a forum to explore key operational challenges, share perspectives, and discuss how next-generation connectivity solutions can deliver measurable benefits for airlines, ANSPs and regulators.

Designed as an accessible introduction, this session will help participants understand the value of connected flight safety solutions and the opportunities they unlock for safer, more efficient, and more resilient aviation across the region.
