Looking at the annual global trend data for “Emergency Squawk Codes,” South America has more lost communications squawk codes (7600), month over month, yet fewer emergency squawk codes (7700). However, in Europe, over the same annual period, it is just the opposite. In Europe, there are consistently more emergency squawk codes (7700), yet fewer lost communications squawk codes (7600).
