The latest data on the CANSO Safety Dashboard – powered by Aireon, has just been published, covering the period of February, March, and April 2026
In reviewing the metrics, it was found that the query used to determine number of Rejected Takeoff (RTO) flights was incorrect. As a result, the rates of RTO were being significantly overstated globally and for all regions. The error was present from the beginning, so all the RTO data, going back to 2024 in previous spreadsheets was inaccurate. However this has been corrected in the system and all CANSO Safety Dashboard metrics for RTO are correct on the monthly and global spreadsheets from March 2026 forward. We have reviewed our other metrics and have determined this was an isolated issue, no other metrics are affected.
