CANSO Global Safety Achievement Award 2024 – Nomination Form

Above: NAV CANADA’s Rechelle Léger (third left) accompanied by her colleague Bruno Ochin (second left) collect the CANSO Global Safety Achievement Award 2023 from CANSO Safety Standing Committee Steering Group Vice Chair, Austro Control’s Andrea Sack-Nirschl (left) and outgoing Chair Osman Saafan, from DFS.

Aviation safety is not merely a goal but a continuous journey—one that demands vigilance, innovation, and a steadfast devotion to best practices.

Each year, through the CANSO Global Safety Achievement Award, CANSO recognises the collective achievements of individuals and organisations who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and initiative in ensuring the safety and security of air travel worldwide. Their achievements serve as beacons of inspiration, guiding us forward in our shared commitment to preserving human life, protecting assets, and promoting a culture of safety that transcends borders and boundaries.

As we did last year in Dublin, when NAV CANADA’s Fatigue Risk Management Application Development Team received 2023’s Award, it is time once again to recognise those who went above and beyond the safety call of duty, with the launch of the CANSO Global Safety Achievement Award, 2024.

Each year this award is given to a company or team that has made a significant safety contribution which has reduced aviation risk in the previous 12 months. This may be a local, regional, or global contribution and may encompass a process, procedure, technology, or training improvement. Nominees do not have to be members of CANSO.

The deadline for nominations is 15 September  The winner will be announced at the CANSO Global Safety Conference 2025, in Christchurch, New Zealand, in March and showcased across CANSO’s global platforms.
