FREQUENTIS modernises aeronautical data management for Georgian air navigation service provider
For more than 10 years, Frequentis has been a trusted partner of Sakaeronavigatsia, headquartered at Tbilisi Airport, delivering solutions for aeronautical message handling system (AMHS) and aeronautical information management (AIM). With this latest upgrade, Sakaeronavigatsia, is advancing its AIM system to meet evolving international standards and adapt to new operational demands.

This upgrade improves aeronautical data management and exchange with the advanced AIM database CADAS-AIMDB, aligning with standards set by European authorities and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). Built on a standardised format for exchanging essential aviation data such as airspace structures and flight procedures, CADAS-AIMDB facilitates seamless data sharing with the European Aeronautical Database (EAD).
“Frequentis has been a trusted partner for many years, and this latest collaboration has reinforced that relationship. The new AIM system is a major step forward for us, allowing us to streamline our processes, meet international standards, and better serve our stakeholders in Georgia and beyond,” says Giorgi Edisherashvili, Executive Director of Sakaeronavigatsia.
Key benefits include the ability to define and publish ICAO digital data sets, improved workflows, and enhanced verification mechanisms. Frequentis will also assist Sakaeronavigatsia in replacing its aeronautical information publication (AIP) tool, a critical document providing essential flight operation details like airports, airspace, and navigation aids.
“This project marks another important milestone in our long-standing partnership with Sakaeronavigatsia. We are proud to support Georgia’s vital role in the international aviation network,” says Josef Kutschi, Managing Director of Frequentis Comsoft.
