Euro-Asia leaders of air traffic management gather in Kazakhstan

Almaty, Kazakhstan, 10 September 2025 – The third CANSO Euro-Central Asia CEO Summit convenes today  10 September 2025, in Almaty Kazakhstan. The event brings together CEOs and experts from air navigation service providers (ANSPs) across the Euro-Central Asia region.

Organised by CANSO and hosted by Kazeronavigatsia, Kazakhstan’s national ANSP, the summit provides a platform to discuss critical issues in air traffic management, including safety, regional performance, future collaboration, and the Air Traffic Flow Management.

Simon Hocquard, President and CEO of CANSO, highlighted the importance of the meeting in his opening remarks: “Gathering here for the third edition of our Euro-Central Asia CEO Summit is a key opportunity to address some of the most important topics facing this region, including Air Traffic Flow Management,  performance measurement and implementing practical tools that will help us enhance efficiency and safety in Euro-Central Asia.”

The summit also welcomed Enrico Parini, the new CANSO Director European Affairs.  Parini stressed the value of collaboration, saying, “working together as leaders from Euro Central Asia will deliver tangible benefits and help raise the standard of ATM performance across the region.”

Serik Shulembekov – Deputy First Director General of Kazaeronavigatsia, added, “Hosting this summit in Almaty allows us to strengthen regional partnerships, share best practices, and focus on innovative solutions that will improve safety and efficiency for all airspace users. We are proud to welcome our colleagues from across Europe and Central Asia and look forward to the progress that will come from these discussions.”

The third CANSO Euro-Central Asia CEO Summit participants will share best practices, and set clear priorities that reinforce the region’s commitment to collaboration, efficiency, and safety.
