ENAIRE upgrades the DVOR-DME air navigation aid systems at the airport of Tenerife North – City of La Laguna
ENAIRE, Spain’s air navigation service provider, has completed the full renewal of the DVOR-DME system at the airport of Tenerife North – City of La Laguna, enhancing navigational performance and safety in the airport environment.
The site upgrade involved installing new state-of-the-art DVOR-DME equipment, as well as new auxiliary equipment and frangible infrastructure to improve safety.
This action is part of ENAIRE’s DVOR-DME Action Plan and aligns with the frangibility and obstacle removal objectives set by Aena at this airport.
During the necessary transition period, the airport operated alternative procedures based on other navigation aids to avoid operational disruptions.
The new DVOR-DME entered into service in the AIRAC cycle of 10 July 2025.
