ENAIRE managed over half a million flights in the first quarter

ENAIRE, Spain’s air navigation service provider, handled over half a million flights (504,385) in the first quarter of 2025, an increase of 6.3 per cent versus the same period in 2024, a record year.

In the first three months of the year, international flights (275,973) increased by 7.7 per cent; overflights, those that do not depart from or arrive at a Spanish airport (122,616), by 7.5 per cent; and domestic flights (105,796) by 1.8 per cent.

All ENAIRE control centres saw increases in the number of flights operated in the first quarter of 2025 of more than 4 per cent compared to the previous year; Barcelona, 214,628, 9.3 per cent more than in 2024; Seville, 123,425, 7.2 per cent more; Canary Islands, 112,062, 6.4 per cent more; Palma, 43,888, 5.1 per cent more; and Madrid, 297,462, 4.7 per cent more.
