Arguably two of the biggest names in the aviation industry are lined up to speak at the CANSO Global Leadership Summit, sponsored by Indra, on 7 April.

Juan Carlos Salazar, General Secretary of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), and Willie Walsh, Director General of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) will both join CANSO Director General Simon Hocquard to discuss the ways in which our industry navigates its way back into the post-COVID-19 world.

In particular, Mr Salazar will discuss September’s ICAO Assembly and how that will address the biggest challenges facing the aviation industry today and in the future, while Willie will talk about what airlines need as they recover their businesses.

Also on the agenda, representatives of the Complete Air Traffic System (CATS) Global Council will give an update on the Council’s plans to achieve its vision for the skies of 2045.

Simon Hocquard said: “We’re honoured that both Juan Carlos and Willie are giving some of their time to speak to us in April. As we move away from COVID-19, now is the time for all of us in the ATM industry and beyond to apply a laser like focus to our customers needs.

“We’re an industry of many players that have much more in common than that divides them, and it’s now time to focus on that for the benefit of everyone.”

The CANSO Global Leadership Summit runs from 13:00 – 14:30 CEST on Thursday 7 April and is open to anyone who wishes to attend.
