Nominations for the CANSO Global Safety Achievement Award 2025 now open

CANSO has launched the CANSO Global Safety Award 2025 and nominations are now open.

The award is given to a company or team that has made a significant safety contribution which has reduced aviation risk in the last 12 months. Such achievements can be local, regional, or global and may have changed and improved such areas as processes, procedures, technology, or training.

John Wennes, CANSO’s Safety Programme Manager, said: “The last 12 months have reminded us that Aviation safety is not something to be taken for granted or assumed, but something that has to work on, analysed and improved constantly. As our skies become busier our safety journey continues as we remain vigilant and devoted to developing the best practices to ensure every flight, large, small, crewed and uncrewed, departs and lands safely.  

“The CANSO Global Safety Achievement Award recognises, every year, those collective achievements that demonstrate outstanding leadership and initiative to protect the safety and security of air travel globally. We use their stories to inspire us, and guide us as we promote safety and safety culture wherever we are and whoever we work for.”

Nominations are open from 1 -30 September.
