Session overview

ICAO has announced the provisions related to ATFM and these are envisaged to be applicable in November 2030. These provisions make a decisive shift – ATFM will no longer be optional but an operational necessity for all States, ANSPs and airspace users. How do we better position ourselves to support implementation of ATFM effectively and ensure seamless, resilient and optimised services across the entire aviation system?

What lessons are there from the 2018 Mombasa ATFM Roadmap? Is this part of our ATFM Transformation and how do we bring all hands-on deck to make implementation a success? This interactive workshop will cover the following:

• Dispatches from Montreal (ANW 2026) – what underpins future compliance with ICAO ATFM requirements?
• Where are we as the AFI region?
• Mombasa ATFM Re-visited – The past, the present and what could have been – pre-selected regional ATFM leaders;
• Towards a collaborated future.
