Metron Aviation awarded software solution for the Philippines
Metron Aviation has been awarded an air traffic flow management (ATFM) system software contract from the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP). This award will focus on the Philippines’ Southeast Asia regional situation awareness in support of air traffic flow management system requirements.
Metron Aviation’s Harmony System for ATFM was selected as it proactively supports the management of demand for aviation resources to minimise delays while maximizing airport and airspace throughput, reduces CO2 emissions and enables aircraft operators to manage their business needs while meeting the CAAP’s ATFM requirements.
This is a major step in the advancement of ATFM in the Southeast Asia region. The Harmony System offering provides collaborative decision-making and demand capacity balancing tools which will provide the Philippines and its stakeholders with a predictive common picture of operations while also enabling integration into the existing regional ATFM concept in the region.
“We are delighted to have the trust and support of the Republic of the Philippines’ management team. This is an exciting opportunity to partner with their team to manage the challenges of today and prepare for the growth of tomorrow,” said Brett Fujisaki, Vice President Sales and Business Development.
