CANSO Executive Summit 2023

As the world of Air Traffic Management gathered in Geneva for the inaugural Airspace World, CANSO launched this brand new event with its annual Executive Summit.

Top leaders, influencers and experts from the aviation industry met at Palexpo, Geneva, Switzerland for an afternoon of debate, discussion and insight.

This year’s Summit helped ATM leaders from around the world to move the agenda forward on some of our industry’s most pressing issues. As the aviation world changes, the Summit presented a global picture of what’s going on in our industry and answered why we should change, and how we can integrate all airspace users quickly.

Our Summit was followed by an opportunity to network at our drinks reception, to which all attendees are invited.

16:20 – 17:45	Keynote Speech – Inspiring the Next Generation of Aviators Speaker Shaesta Waiz, Founder & President, Dreams Soar Inc Born in an Afghan refugee camp and raised in the USA, Shaesta is the first female certified pilot from Afghanistan and the youngest woman to circumnavigate the globe. She set up her US-based charity, Dreams Soar, to encourage others, particularly women, to follow their dreams and promotes the importance of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education and research. Shaesta will talk about what motivated her to become an aviator, and tell the story of her inspirational journey around the world. She will also set out what skills might be needed from our future workforce, and how we can work together to encourage the next generation of talent to join our industry.
