Stefano Baronci

Director General

ACI Asia Pacific & Middle East

Mr. Stefano Baronci serves as the Director General of Airports Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific & Middle East, the trade association advocating for the interests of airports across the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions.
Appointed in December 2019, Mr. Baronci leads the execution of the association’s strategic plan, strengthening its advocacy efforts with governments, regulators, and international organizations, while overseeing a team of professionals at the Regional Office in Hong Kong.

Mr. Baronci has over two decades of analytic and representational experience at national and international levels in the aviation sector, representing both airport and airline industries. He is very familiar with the ACI community, having previously served as the Director of Economics at ACI World in Montreal and Senior Policy Manager at ACI Europe in Brussels. He has also served as Secretary General of Assaeroporti, the Italian airport operators association, and Assistant Director and ATM Infrastructure Expert at the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

An Italian national, Mr. Baronci holds an Executive MBA from Warwick University (United Kingdom) and a Law degree from La Sapienza University in Rome, Italy.
