Adacel and EANS co-host EUROCAE WG-100 remote and virtual tower meeting in Tallinn

Adacel Technologies Limited (Adacel) co-hosted, alongside Estonian Air Navigation Services (EANS), the annual in-person plenary of EUROCAE Working Group 100 (WG-100) Remote & Virtual Tower meeting in Tallinn, Estonia in September.

The EUROCAE WG-100 is tasked with producing standards for Remote and Virtual Towers (RVT) including the development of the Minimum Aviation System Performance Standards (MASPS) applicable to this technology’s visual surveillance functions.

Throughout the year, WG-100 core members meet regularly in virtual sessions to advance this work. However, the in-person meetings, hosted in different member locations, are the group’s only opportunity to gather as a whole. This three-day meeting facilitates critical decision-making and collaborative advancement of the WG-100’s agenda. It serves as a milestone to review the progress made by the core team and to collectively shape the future direction of remote tower standardisation.
