Meet our speaker

Mr. Richard Mujungu Ruhesi is the Director Air Navigation Services at Uganda CAA. Mr. Ruhesi holds an MSc in Information Systems Engineering and a BEng (Hons) in Computer and Information Engineering from London South Bank University, UK, as well as a BTEC HNC in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Mr. Ruhesi is a certified aviation professional with over 28 years of experience in the development, management and maintenance of aeronautical systems and aviation safety operations. He is a member of the British Computer Society and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Mr. Ruhesi is the Chair of the Finance Committee, CANSO AFRICA and chaired the ICAO Communications, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) Sub-Group for the AFI Region from 2007 to 2020. Mr. Ruhesi has also held leadership roles on multi-sectoral government committees and international technical working groups.
