Civil-military coordination between ENAIRE and the Spanish Air and Space Force key to the success of the Ocean Sky 25 air combat exercises
ENAIRE, Spain’s national air navigation manager, actively collaborated with the Air and Space Force, responsible for air control during the Ocean Sky 2025 military exercises, which took place over the Atlantic Ocean near the Canary Islands. Alongside Spanish aircraft, air forces from Germany, Greece, Portugal, India, and the United States participated. Â

Professionals from ENAIRE coordinated civil and military flights from the Air Traffic Control Centre in the Canary Islands and the Gran Canaria Control Tower.
The exercises involved more than fifty aircraft, including F-18M, Eurofighter, F-16, F-15E, and Su-30MKI fighter jets, as well as MRTT, KC-767, A-332, and A400M tankers, most operating from Gando Air Base in Gran Canaria.
