ENAIRE has faced the 2025 summer season with record traffic and improved quality, safety and sustainability indicators
Consolidated figures for August confirm that the sustained increase in air traffic in Spain is being managed alongside improvements in delay, safety, and sustainability metrics, thanks to the reinforcement measures of ENAIRE‘s âSummer Planâ and, in particular, the dedication, work, and commitment of air traffic controllers, technical staff, and support/management personnel.
In June, July, and August, delays attributable to air traffic control services fell by 13.6 per cent compared to the same period in 2024
With the consolidated data from August, in the first eight months of this year, cumulative air traffic growth since 1 January compared to 2024 stands at 5.01 per cent, and compared to the pre-pandemic year 2019, at 13.5 per cent.
This figure continues to outperform the European average, where traffic over the same period has grown by only 3.7 per cent compared to 2024 and has still not recovered pre-pandemic levels, remaining 0.7 per cent below 2019. With these values, in the first eight months of 2025, Spainâs recovery of pre-pandemic traffic exceeds the European average by 14.3 percentage points.
