UFA develops new state-of-the-art aerodrome simulator for the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore
UFA, Inc. (UFA), a leading provider of Air Traffic Simulation and Voice Technologies, announces the successful on-time completion of a new Aerodrome Simulator for the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS). The new Aerodrome Simulator is specially customized for CAAS’ training needs and was officially inaugurated at the World Civil Aviation Chief Executives Forum (WCACEF) in April 2019.
UFA provided a state-of-the-art 360-degree visual system, consoles, hardware, installation, and training for Tower and Ground Controller positions. Additionally, CAAS received the Part Task Trainer system, an innovative multi-touch Table Top Training system with debrief capability, ATLIVEā¢, and custom visual databases for Singapore’s Changi and Seletar airports. All systems are voice recognition-enabled with UFA’s industry-leading ATVoiceĀ®. The system now transitions into a 10-year maintenance and support phase for CAAS.
“CAAS is one of the key aviation authorities and air navigation service providers in the region, managing air traffic in one of the most important, busiest, and complex blocks of airspace in the world. It is a significant honor to have been selected to develop such cutting-edge air traffic simulation products for CAAS,” said Axel Seitz, UFA Program Manager. “This achievement further proves UFA has world class simulation products that are able to meet the most complex and demanding training needs.”
