  • The new version of the SACTA air traffic control system will improve operations, facilitate maintenance and data use, and ensure more efficient use of ENAIRE’s resources.
  • The contract forms part of the strategy to continuously develop the air traffic control system and adapt it to regulatory requirements, and will incorporate advances from projects developed by the European iTEC technology alliance.
  • It will enable four-dimensional trajectory management, early detection of potential conflicts and compliance with European regulations under the Single European Sky.
  • SACTA, a global benchmark that will incorporate the latest technologies, provides a single common platform for all phases of flight and all control units.

Today, the Council of Ministers authorised the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility to tender a €27.9 million contract (excluding VAT) to implement a new version of the Automated Air Traffic Control System (SACTA).
