Keynote Presentation: Future of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM)

When

Wednesday 29 October

10:30-11:15

Session overview

Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) is rapidly shifting from concept to reality. With the emergence of eVTOL aircraft, drones, and autonomous systems, the skies are about to become more dynamic and complex than ever before.

For air traffic management (ATM), AAM presents both a challenge and an opportunity. Traditional ATM systems were designed for relatively predictable, high-altitude commercial flight patterns. AAM, by contrast, introduces a high volume of low-altitude flights with unique operational requirements. AAM is more than just a new mode of transportation—it is a catalyst for reimagining the entire airspace system. How ANSPs respond to this moment will define their relevance and leadership in the next era of global aviation.

In this keynote session, we will explore the role of future airspace services in enabling AAM, consider the roadmap for how ATM services for AAM will evolve over time and understand how dedicated Urban ATM services can help improve safety in the urban environment.
