Session overview

Join us as we visit the iconic Panama Canal and its Miraflores Locks. Located on the Pacific Ocean side of the canal, the locks are a system of water elevators used to raise ships up to the level of Gatun Lake, or lower them down to sea level, overcoming a height difference of approximately 26 meters. They operate like a system of “elevators” that, using gravity, fill or empty chambers to adjust the water level and allow vessels to move from one level to another. This fascinating visit will provide a spectacular end to our conference – bring your cameras!

Buses will depart from the JW Marriott Panama at 15:30 and will arrive back at 18:30.
