Forecasting Air Traffic – Understanding your Demand and How to Obtain the Biggest Levers of Performance and Growth
When

Session overview
In today’s complex operating environment, ANSPs require precise information on airline demand to effectively plan for staffing, capacity enhancements, and projected income. Optimising this finite airspace depends on a variety of factors, including airspace design and flexibility, air traffic control (ATC) system capacity, the number and complexity of sectors, segregated airspace, training, and response capabilities of personnel, existing Communication, Navigation, and Surveillance (CNS) infrastructure, the level of automation implemented, and the equipment and type of aircraft within the fleet.
The aim of this session is to help ANSPs understand demand and shift from the traditional forecasting methodology (short, medium and long term) to a more dynamic approach that can adapt to spontaneous changes like fluctuations in Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and alterations in travel patterns.
