Performance-Based Navigation for ANSPs: Concept 2030

Performance-based navigation (PBN) is instrumental in improving the efficiency of airspace across the globe, and CANSO’s Performance-Based Navigation for ANSPs: Concept 2030 offers a vision of PBN for the year 2030.

By determining the future state of PBN, this guide is designed to assist CANSO Members as they prepare for, or continue with, PBN implementation. It identifies current and future PBN-related technologies, rate of progress, and services that are expected to impact ANSPs. It also identifies possible obstacles to successful implementation of PBN and highlights capabilities and resources that ANSPs might consider.

This guide will be valuable in shaping the future of air traffic management and will enable further progress on PBN as a key force in improving operational safety, efficiency, and capacity.
