Green ATM Environmental Accreditation Programme

The CANSO GreenATM Accreditation Programme is the global benchmark for recognising and advancing environmental excellence among Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs). Developed by CANSO in collaboration with Think Research, GreenATM provides an independent, industry-endorsed assessment of an ANSP’s environmental performance, demonstrating its commitment to sustainable ATM and continuous improvement.
GreenATM evaluates both the environmental initiatives that reduce the aviation industry’s operational emissions, through more efficient airspace and ATM operations and the actions organisations take to minimise their own environmental footprint. Participants are assessed across a comprehensive range of areas, including governance, operational performance, infrastructure, greenhouse gas emissions management and integration of environmentally responsible behaviours into organisational culture, with accreditation awarded across five progressive levels of environmental maturity.
