ENNA-EP
Organisation overview
ENNA-EP (National Air Navigation Company) is a public enterprise governed by public law in Angola, following the restructuring of the former National Airport and Air Navigation Company (ENANA-EP). Its main role is to manage navigation support services within the airspace under the responsibility of the Republic of Angola, including infrastructure management and air traffic coordination. ENNA-EP operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Transport and is governed by a Board of Directors. Its operations are aligned with both national and international regulations.
Efficient Service, Safe Airspace
ENNA-EP is responsible for ensuring the safe, orderly, and efficient management of air traffic within the airspace under the jurisdiction of the Republic of Angola —the LUANDA FIR — covering approximately 4,113,122.53 km². The Luanda Flight Information Region spans an area nearly three times larger than the national territory and is divided into two major sectors: the Continental Sector and the Oceanic Sector.
Within this FIR, air traffic services are provided — including search and rescue when necessary — to all known traffic operating in the area. These services are delivered by qualified Angolan professionals who ensure the safety of all aircraft operating between provincial aerodromes or flying through en route to other countries. ENNA-EP provides air traffic services in both upper airspace (area and en-route services) and lower airspace (approach control services), as well as services for aircraft operating on the airport maneuvering areas and runways (aerodrome control services). It is also responsible for Aeronautical Information Management.
Through our Aeronautical Training Center (CAI), we conduct and manage training programs for Air Traffic Controllers and Air Navigation Services personnel. These are often carried out in partnership with national or international public-private institutions, ensuring client satisfaction through commitment, rigor, and quality. CAI is certified by the National Civil Aviation Authority (ANAC) and is a Bronze Member of ICAO’s TRAINAIR Plus Programme.
