Organisation Overview

Ecole Nationale de L’Aviation Civile (ENAC) was founded in 1949 in Paris-Orly and moved to Toulouse in 1968. It is a public corporation, with an administrative vocation and operates under the supervision of the French Ministry of Transport/DGAC, the French equivalent of CAA/FAA. ENAC has its headquarters in Toulouse, the European aerospace capital, and nine other training centres in France.

ENAC is the only aviation-oriented university in France and it offers a wide range of aeronautics-oriented training programmes and activities, serving the aeronautical world, and particularly the air transport sector.

ENAC has: 2,000 students in 30 training courses (engineer, air transport pilot, air traffic controller, etc.); 7,500 trainees each year in 400 continuing education programmes or advanced training courses; and four research laboratories.

ENAC boasts high level training material associated with its multidisciplinary activities including: air traffic control simulators; flight simulators; 130 aircraft; and laboratories for electronics, data processing, aerodynamics, and languages.

Through all these activities, ENAC is committed to meeting the requirements of the aeronautical field, in both private and public sectors, in France and abroad.

Over more than 60 years, with 20,000 alumni, ENAC has acquired an excellent reputation in France and abroad with all the partners associated with its wide range of activities.

Today, thanks to the acknowledged skills of its teachers, researchers, students, trainees and staff, ENAC is looking to strengthen its influence across the world, through its commitment to its field of excellence: aeronautics.
