Indra provides its air traffic management technology to Hindustan Aeronautics Limited

India sate owned Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), one of the main airspace companies in Asia, has relied on Indra to equip HAL Airport, Bengaluru with Indra Air Traffic Control technology to strengthen safety of air operations.

Indra will provide HAL air traffic control centre with last-generation en-route, approach and tower control positions that will enable and boost air traffic management efficiency.

The contract also includes provision of a simulator to reinforce controllers’ training, voice recorder, surveillance ADS-B, and Aeronautical Information System AIS/ASBS and D-ATIS.

The scope of the contract includes customer personnel training, warranty and 4-year maintenance. All Indra systems exceed the most demanding international standards.

Indra air traffic control system is in operation in 38 airports along the country, also supplying one of the main air traffic control centres in India, Kolkata ATCC, key centre for the routes towards southwest Asia.
