ATM: Short-term Realities and Long-term Visions
The CANSO Global ATM Operations Conference 2018 took place from Thursday 8 March-Friday 9 March.
This year’s conference focussed on how to embrace the innovations and future visions of our customers, suppliers and airspace users in current and long-term strategies. How can we as an industry evolve to meet emerging airline and manufacturer demands? What do our stakeholders envision for the future? How advanced do our strategies compare in a peer to peer analysis?
Through open dialogue with keynote speakers, interactive sessions and workshops, participants gained a deeper understanding of the demands that are on the horizon for ATM operations with the introduction of key innovations such as commercial drones, smart and remote towers and future aircraft technology, and explored how to anticipate a variety of future scenarios.
