Amsterdam Drone Week is the global platform for sharing knowledge on current air solutions, potential innovations and vital regulations. Held on 4-6 December 2019 this year in RAI Amsterdam, it brings together all key players, big and small, commercial and non-commercial, from various industries, knowledge institutes and authorities, to co-create and co-operate.

As the global voice of air traffic management, CANSO is at the forefront of innovation in airspace management and new user integration with current airborne operations. CANSO provides expertise in this area globally and has created two sessions for Amsterdam Drone Week.

The Future of an integrated and digital airspace ā€“ 4 December 16.00-17:00

Tanja Grobotek, CANSO Europe Director, will moderate a roundtable discussion on the challenges of enabling a safe, secure and seamless ecosystem where manned and unmanned aircraft share the airspace. Can technologies developed for U-space/UTM systems enhance existing ATM systems? Could they lead to a performance breakthrough?

Angela Kies, Chair of the CANSO UTM Taskforce, will offer the CANSO perspective in a roundtable discussion on the technical challenges of enabling a safe, secure and seamless ecosystem where manned and unmanned aircraft share airspace. How can we ensure effective cooperation/interoperability between all the USPs operating in the same volume of airspace and between the USPs and ANSPs?
