ENAIRE transfers the Balearic Islands Air Control Centre from Palma de Mallorca to Son Bonet
ENAIRE will promote the transfer of the current Balearic Islands Control Centre from Palma de Mallorca airport to the Son Bonet aerodrome. ENAIRE’s infrastructure transfer project will not affect the control tower, whose personnel will continue to operate from the current location at AENA airport facilities.
The transfer project will allow ENAIRE to expand and modernise its Control Centre in the Balearic Islands, to provide it with the most advanced air navigation technology, and to deploy a new contingency room physically separated from the current facilities, with the aim of increasing the resilience of its services.
