Jesús Romero is Safety and Security Manager in ENAIRE (Spanish main ANSP); he started 24 years ago his career in aviation, after being involved in Telco industry. Starting as a Support Engineer in the ACC Madrid operations room, later held roles in Satellite Air Navigation Department related to Quality and Safety Management System, joining Enaire Safety Department in 2007. Took part in the initial development of de SMS, led the Safety Assessment and Risk Management area, member of Safety Incident Investigation National Committee, leading Security and Cyber Management System as well, coordinating in different areas with the State Security Forces. It was appointed as Safety and Security Manager in 2013. Awarded with Police Merit Medal awarded by UDYCO (Unit of Drugs and Organized Crime-National Spain Police) (2017). As regards international activities, mention his CANSO Global Safety Achievement Award in 2022. Jesús is currently Chair of CANSO Group of Safety Directors in Europe and member of Safety Steering Group of CANSO Global.
