Duane enjoyed a 40 year career working within the FAA’s Air Traffic Organization in a variety of roles. Starting out as an Air Traffic Controller in Houston ARTCC, Duane pursued opportunities within ATO Management, Airspace Redesign, International Procedures, Quality Assurance/Control, Safety Risk Management, Traffic Flow Management, and Space Operations. Motivated by change management and innovation, Duane worked in positions that included; ATCS, Front Line Manager, Operations Manager, Training Manager, Quality Control Manager, and Executive Officer at Washington ARTCC; ATSAP Event Review Committee (ERC) Co-Chair; National Operations Manager, and Group Manager ATO Space Operations at the Air Traffic Control System Command Center. In 2024, Duane joined Advanced Sciences and Technologies (AS&T) as Director of Space Operations. AS&T has led the integration of space operations through the development of the Space Data Integrator (SDI) and support for FAA space related Traffic Flow Management initiatives.
