AEROTHAI wins Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal tender for CNS/ATM

Aeronautical Radio of Thailand (AEROTHAI), the Air Navigation Services Provider of Thailand, has won for the tender of Gautam Buddha International Airport Project Phase II at Bhairahawa province, Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal for improving Communication, Navigation and Surveillance/Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM), and signed the contract with Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) on 7 March 2019. This project is expected to be completed in 2019.

Mr. Somnuk Rongthong, President of AEROTHAI, informs that Nepali Government has a plan to build the second international airport in a high potential for tourism province which Bhairahawa province has been selected. The Gautam Buddha International Airport project phase I which is constructing the airport has been commenced in 2017. The scopes of phase II are Supply, Delivery, Installation and Commissioning of Communication,

Navigation and Surveillance/Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM), Meteorological Equipment & Other Related Goods and Services for Gautam Buddha Airport (GBA Project). CAAN carried out the tender of this Project with the supoort of Asian Development Bank (ADB).

The scope of AEROTHAI work in this project are Installation, Testing and Commissioning, Flight Calibration of Navigation and Communication Systems and Flight Procedure Design.
