CANSO statement on flight disruption in the UK
Responding to NATSâ initial report into the system failure of Monday 28 August, CANSO Director General Simon Hocquard said; âFirst and foremost I am pleased to see that safety was maintained throughout the incident. Safety is, and must always be, the top priority for the ATM industry. Given the regrettable delay and disruption caused by the system failure it is good to see that a technical fix has been identified to ensure the resilience of the UKâs ATM infrastructure.â
