Safety Focus: 2022 Kick Off
Members of the CANSO Safety community are invited to join the virtual, three-day Safety Focus: 2022 Kick Off event, on 21â23 March at 11:00 â13:00 CET (on days one and three, and mainly between 10:00 and 12:00 CET on day two).
As ever, the event will be led by Safety Standing Committee (SSC) chair, Osman Saafan, and vice chair, Sinéad McCloskey.
On the agenda
21 March
On the first day the SSC will have its first full meeting of 2022 and set the scene for the coming two days’ discussions. We’ll hear from Osman and SinĂ©ad, and then watch short presentations from each of our safety workgroups and taskforces:
- Cyber Safety Taskforce
- Human Performance Management Workgroup
- Next Generation SMS Workgroup
- Safety Intelligence Workgroup
Alex Bristol, Chief Executive of skyguide and CANSO’s Safety champion will then join us to share his thoughts on what he has heard from the briefings, followed by a Q&A session with Osman, SinĂ©ad and myself.
22 March
On our second day, and as we did last year, you can choose to attend a breakout session with any of the four groups above. In these, the workgroup/taskforce leads will discuss their priorities and objectives for the coming year and you will be able to ask questions and provide feedback on the challenges and opportunities they describe.
After registration for days one and three youâll be sent the time and links for each breakout session and can then choose which ones you want to attend on the day.
Please note that the bulk of these breakout sessions will run between 10:00 and 12:00, subject to confirmation.
23 March
On day three, we come together again to examine the output from the previous day’s breakout sessions. Each workgroup or taskforce lead will recap their session and discuss their workplans for 2022.
There will also be an opportunity to pose questions to SSC Steering Group.
Note
This event is by invitation only and members of CANSO’s global safety programmes’ workgroups and taskforces, the global Safety Standing Committee and the Safety Steering Committee will have received their invitations already. If you feel you should have been invited but haven’t received an invitation, please contact the CANSO Safety Programme.
