Global Airspace Radar – going beyond the obvious

The Global Airspace Radar website was launched on 2 February 2025, followed by the first issue of the print magazine distributed at that year’s Airspace World. The ambition of the editorial team of four experts is to cover the airspace industry from all angles and over multiple channels:

  • Daily news on www.globalairspaceradar.com and on our Linkedin page with a broad coverage, including drone traffic management, air traffic control, policy making, innovation, military integration, innovation, sustainability, and more.
  • Exclusive stories and opinion articles and interviews with industry leaders and subject matter experts, following the motto “beyond the obvious”.
  • A podcast dedicated to the airspace industry, with thought leaders invited for every episode.
  • A newsletter with recent stories, a selection of news and additional short opinion pieces.

Print or digital? Actually, both!

The last channel is the print magazine – available online and for download too . There are two issues per year and the next one will be available digitally in mid-May and in print during Airspace World, Lisbon.

Why such a magazine in the digital age? The team believes there is space for a publication covering all the aspects of the industry, with a long-term focus. Writing for a magazine published twice a year forces the editors and contributors to take a step back from the daily business and look at trends on a longer scale, going away from endless scrolling and short attention spans.

The articles can also be illustrated in a nicer way than on simple web pages – hat tip to our graphic designer – and the whole reading experience is different. The paper edition is like the cherry on top: a nice object, providing a pleasant time reading and the airspace industry deserves such a publication. Get one at Airspace World and let us know what you think.

Covering everything Airspace

Airspace usage changes, with drones being integrated into the lower airspace but also high-altitude platforms and space launches becoming more common. The newcomers are here to stay and Advanced Air Mobility is next in line. Global Airspace Radar looks at all airspace users and how they interact and impact each other.

Thanks to its team of editors, Global Airspace Radar covers all aspects of the industry and offers stories to all stakeholders, from air traffic controllers to decision makers, engineers, researchers, policy makers, and military players.

Apart from news, the website also lists industry events, jobs, and the latest addition is the training page with news related to training and a list of training courses.
