Meet our speaker

Radu has an international experience of over 30 years, having worked in many EUROCONTROL, ICAO or CANSO groups, leading activities such as safety performance, Just Culture or safety tools, to mention just a few. He is passionate about aviation safety, holds an aeronautical engineering degree, an MSc in Air Transport, a background as an ATCO and is a current instrument-rated private pilot. He has been involved in the safety maturity measurement (precursor of the SoE) from the very beginning, in 2002, and has managed the SoE since 2010. He’s keen to share from his experience to the young and the old, as well as learn new things, from the young and the old.
