Session overview

Overview:
As the aviation industry prepares for the integration of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) into a rapidly evolving Air Traffic Management (ATM) environment, ensuring safe, seamless integration remains a critical priority.

This session builds on the outcomes of the CANSO Advanced Air Mobility Workshop held during CANSO OSC Connect 2026 n February, translating operational discussions into a safety focused dialogue. It will explore what integration means from a safety perspective while inviting the safety community to consider what minimum operational safety should look like.

The session aims to both educate the safety community and gather input to support the ongoing development of the AAM Integration Framework Guidance document.

Session Objectives:
• Translate key outcomes from the CANSO OSC Connect AAM Workshop into safety focused dialogue
• Identify operational and safety considerations for AAM integration
• Strengthen collaboration between Operations and Safety communities to ensure alignment on feasibility and risk management
