Jeeja S. Vengal is Manager of the Air Traffic Organization’s (ATO) Space Operations Group, the ATO’s office of primary responsibility for Space Transport Operations. As Space Operations Manager, she oversees the ATO’s efforts to integrate space operations into the National Airspace System (NAS). She is also the lead of the ATO’s Space Collaborative Decision Making (CDM). Jeeja has served for over 19 years in various roles within the Air Traffic Organization to include efficiency of the NAS, supporting airspace security measures across the NAS, and enabling collaborative decision-making with stakeholders. Jeeja holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Management from Purdue University and a Master of Science degree in Human Factors System Engineering from Embry-Riddle University. Her publications include “Integration of Unmanned Aerial Systems in Class E Airspace: The Effect on Air Traffic Controller Workload” and “Building a Time-Based Flow Management Performance Dashboard.”
