Tour of KCAA Area Control Centre and Disaster Recovery Centre

The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority is implementing a state-of-the-art Area Control Centre and a Disaster Recovery Centre (ACC & DRC) in Mlolongo, Nairobi and is giving delegates of the CANSO Africa Conference 2025 the chance to preview the new facility on a special guided tour from 14:00-16:00 on Thursday 28 August.

During the tour, delegates will see progress on the installation of the Air Traffic Management System, Extended Aeronautical Message Handling System and Voice Communication Control System.

Due to the secure nature of the centre and its operation, a number of security controls will be in place. Those wishing to attend will need to share their passport number with KCAA and bring their passport with them on the day. Please also note that, as any photography is strictly forbidden, visitors will be asked to kindly leave their mobile phones and other photographic equipment with KCAA staff before they enter the facility, to collect again on their departure.
