Mr. Emil Rogers served as the Deputy Secretary General for Technical Affairs at the Roberts Flight Information Region (Roberts FIR) until his appointment as the Secretary General in March 2024. In his new role, he will serve as the Chief Executive Officer of the Roberts FIR for a tenure of four (4) years.
Mr. Rogers has twenty-five (25) years of experience in aviation. He represents the State of Sierra Leone in the joint aeronautical corporation between the Republics of Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone. As Secretary General and Chief Executive Officer, he will oversee policy implementation and provide direction for the Roberts FIR.
Prior to his appointment to the Roberts FIR in April 2020, Mr. Rogers served for nineteen (19) years at the Sierra Leone Airports Authority, holding positions such as Commercial Director and Deputy General Manager.
Mr. Rogers holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and a Postgraduate diploma in Business Administration from the University of Sierra Leone. He also earned a master’s degree in Economic Policy Management with a focus on Air Transport Economics from the University of Ghana.
Furthermore, Mr. Rogers is a Certified Member (CM) of the American Association of Airports Executives (AAAE) and an International Aerodrome Certified Employee (IACE) of the International Association of Airports Executives (IAAE).
