Tim Arel is the CEO of Integrated Airspace LLC and currently serves as the Chair, CANSO Board of Directors. Beginning his career as an air traffic controller, he has held FAA leadership positions in Safety, Training, Airspace Security, and Traffic Flow Management. In his twelve years of executive experience, he was appointed the Vice President of Air Traffic Services, the Deputy Chief Operating Officer, and the Chief Operating Officer of the FAA’s Air Traffic Organization. With a focus on transparency and collaboration, Tim led FAA’s infrastructure improvements while making significant strides in the integration of drones, commercial space, and advanced air mobility operations. He is a veteran of the US Air Force and has a public safety background, having served as an emergency medical technician, firefighter and police officer.
