CANSO CDM and A-CDM Symposium

The CANSO CDM and A-CDM Symposium will bring together key aviation stakeholders to work towards a common goal of implementing the collaborative decision making (CDM) and airport-CDM (A-CDM) models across Africa. This will assist aviation stakeholders to view each other as partners and work together to deliver safe, efficient and sustainable air transport services.

The Symposium will also explain the difference between CDM and A-CDM and how they benefit airport operators, aircraft operators, air traffic control (ATC) and ground handlers. It will highlight the benefits of implementing CDM to improve air traffic management (ATM) for flights between city pairs; and demonstrate the efficiency gains achievable through integrating airport and en-route CDM. Establishing best practice for other city pairs in the Africa-Indian Ocean (AFI) region is another Symposium goal.
