CANSO Global Safety Achievement Award

CANSO recognises and acknowledges excellence with the CANSO Global Safety Achievement Award.

Each year this award is given to a company or team that has made a significant safety contribution which has reduced aviation risk in the previous 12 months. This may be a local, regional or global contribution and may encompass a process, procedure, technology or training improvement. Nominees do not have to be members of CANSO.

The winner of the award is announced via CANSO’s global platforms and networks.

CANSO Global Safety Achievement Award 2020

Six nominations were shortlisted for the CANSO Global Safety Achievement Award 2020 from a record-breaking number submitted. The shortlist included innovation from DSNA, ENAIRE, FAA ATO, IAA, NAV Portugal and SANS.  

The winner was IAA, for its partnership with Aireon on the Aireon ALERT which provides vital support for search and rescue personnel. Read more.
