Tatjana Bolic
Tatjana (Tanja) Bolić holds M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of California at Berkeley, in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering department. She obtained her undergraduate air transportation engineering degree at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering at the University of Belgrade.
After the Ph.D. Tatjana worked for an airport consulting company in the USA. On her return to Europe, she worked for a research institute, universities and as an independent consultant. As independent consultant Tatjana worked on SESAR1 projects and performance indicator assessment for the Reference Period 2. She worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Trieste, and is co-founder and co-director of Symopt S.r.l. (a spin-off of University of Trieste). Currently, she is Senior Research Fellow at University of Westminster.
All these different positions involved working on different transportation related topics – from basic engineering, over Air Traffic Management, environmental impact, multimodality, airport design, diffusion of information, human factors, economic demand management mechanisms, to crisis management and meteorology. The diversity of topics and the techniques required to address various problems is one of the most rewarding aspects of her work experience. She is a Chair-person of the SESAR 3 JU’s Scientific Committee.
