Morten Grandt

Dr. Morten Grandt is the head of Navigation Services at DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung, the German ANSP. He is responsible for terrestrial and satellite-based navigation services provided by DFS as well as the protection of CNS systems and frequency management matters. Grandt holds a master’s degree and a PhD in Safety Engineering from the University of Wuppertal. Before he joined DFS in 2009, he worked as a scientist in Human-Systems Engineering for an R&D institute affiliated to the German Forces. At DFS he was involved in the SESAR programme as project manager and work package manager. In parallel, he was project manager of DFS Free Route Airspace project. In his current position, he is the German member in the ICAO Navigation Systems Panel.
